`Humdinger' 10th Anniversary Reunion Gig with support band Joanne Shaw Taylor Celebrating the 10th anniversary of their highly acclaimed 3rd album `Humdinger’, The HOAX are briefly re-forming to appear at two overseas blues festivals, and only one exclusive UK date at Chiddingfold! The HOAX rapidly evolved from a Wiltshire village band of school-friends, to become undoubtedly the best, most original, and most exciting blues band of the 90’s, with a huge following of fans throughout Europe. In 1995 they were awarded both `Blues Band of the Year’ and `Blues Album’ of the year, and they also embarked on an extensive tour of the USA, opening for Buddy Guy. They were also guests on the TV show `Later with Jools Holland’. With the blues world at their feet, in 1999 the band confounded all their world-wide fans by disbanding, in favour of pursuing individual careers. The band members are now dispersed around the world, and hence further `re-unions’ are most unlikely. Existing fans will flock to this very special one-off gig, but if you haven’t seen them before, come and appreciate the impact made by this sensational band! “The last time Englishmen played blue-rock with such fire and conviction, they had names like The Yardbirds, John Mayall’s Bluesbreakers, and The Rolling Stones” - `Q’ Magazine **** This brief tour will be accompanied by a re-issue of the Humdinger album, with previously un-released additional tracks, plus a `live' DVD.
